Information

Admission is open to suitably qualified candidates (at specific periods during the academic calendar).

  • High School: Into JSS 1 and SS 1 classes. Limited provisions are often made available for applicants into JSS 2 and SS 2.
  • Middle School: Primary 1 to Primary 5
  • Elementary School: Pre – School, Nursery 1 to Nursery 3

Requisite Credentials to be submitted on admission:

  • Photocopy of birth certificate/declaration of age
  • Two recent passport size photographs (if applicable)
  • A photocopy of school testimonial. (If applicable)
  • Letter of attestation from previous school. (If applicable)
  • Admission interest form filled.
  • Candidate’s academic record. (If applicable)

Only applicants who attest to the Lordship of Christ over their lives are eligible for admission

An attestation from applicants local church pastor is required

Evidence of good academic performance with certified continuous assessment test (CAT) / Examination results covering all previous terms/session plus a duly signed transfer certificate from a credible school (for transfer applicants)

Prospective candidates must show High level of Academic Prowess

Evidence of completion of Primary (Middle) School (for JSS 1 applicants)

At least ten years of age as at last birthday before the entrance examination

(for JSS 1)

  • Intended entrants should be at least 6 years of age.
  • Prospective pupils in Grades 1 and 2 will be tested based on their knowledge of Mathematics and English Language.
  • Intended pupils must have an average of 55% to gain admission into this section.
  • Prospective pupils who have sat and passed the entrance exams must present evidence of medical immunization from a reputable hospital certified by professional health practitioners.
  • Intended pupils into K1 (kindergarten one) should be at least 3 years of age.
  • Intended pupils must have had a basic knowledge of Pre school.
  • He/she must have basic knowledge of alphabet and number concepts.
  • Intended pupils will be tested based on his/her knowledge of the alphabet and number concepts.
  • Pupils are expected to have an average of 55% to secure admission into this section.
  • Prospective pupils who have sat and passed the entrance exams must present evidence of medical immunization from a reputable hospital certified by professional health practitioners.
  • Prospective pupils into K2 and K3 should be at least 4 years and 5 years of age respectively.
  • Admission is based on a first-come-first-serve basis and availability of space.

Pre-kinder

  • At least 2 and half years of age
  • Trained in the effective use of potty
  • Ability to speak (talk)
  • No longer uses diapers
  • Gain mastery of pen control

Creche:

  • Must be 6 months and above
  • Be able to feed on alternative meals aside from breask milk
  •  
  • Printed Admission Application Acknowledgement Slip along with photocopies of relevant credentials. Originals of requisite credentials should be brought on the day of the exams.
  • Evidence of ability to pay required schools fees (by parent/sponsor)
  • A commitment to devout quality time to academics.
  • Physical and psychological ability to cope with academic work at Hope Academy Schools.
  • Candidates seeking for transfer into Hope Academy Schools must state clearly and submit to the School Authority the reason(s) for the transfer.
  • Prospective candidates will be tested on three basic subjects (Mathematics, English Language and General Paper) and he/she is expected to score an average of 55% for such a candidate to be considered for admission.
  • All successful candidates will be screened and interviewed alongside their parents before issuance of Provisional Admission Letter by Admission Committee.
  • The health status of the candidate must be known, proven by a document form a certified physician.
  • Letter of recommendation from the candidates previous school must be submitted to the admission office at the entry or point of admission form purchase.

 

Successful applicants will be issued letters of provisional admission and will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee and all payable school fees before final admission clearance is offered to such students.

All duly admitted students are required to take part in matriculation exercise, duly sign the school commitment form and take part in the week-long orientation exercise.

Any student not duly matriculated is deemed to have forfeited his/her admission.

Any student who does not report within two weeks of admission is deemed to have withdrawn from the school. All fees paid are non-refundable except in special cases as considered fit for refunds by the school authority; for such students, appropriate calculated percentages would be refunded.

1. Pre Exams

The Pre Exam is a show of interest by the prospective candidates in the school and also on the need for the candidate to be duly informed on available classes for admission into, sales of forms and dates for entrance exams.

2. Post Exams

Successful candidates of the Entrance Examination would be invited for interview alongside their parents. After which Admission Committee process the issuance of Admission Letters to successful candidates at the interviews.
